Birthday Celebration at home
The birthday celebration was actually quite happening - it was rather chaotic between these pictures. Oliver was keen to play the birthday song which he just learned yesterday to Boon Heng. While playing, Heidi had to join in by pressing the keyboards a few times, which frustrated Oliver and sent him flying to bed throwing tantrums. The kids also had their own idea of how to take our pictures that we had to tell them to stop as the candles were still burning and melting on the cakes. They were unhappy of course. Then as we finally convinced them to blow the candles, Heidi was upset with Oliver blowing all the candles. Alamak... It is okay, we had to assure her and lighted the candles again. Now she got to blow it all by herself and she was satisfied. Lucky we had our peaceful lunch earlier.

First visit to Science Centre
We have never think of Science Centre as a place to visit when Oliver and Heidi were younger. When Oliver is now older, it slips my mind that this place existed. It was not until we visited the Futuroscope in France that the very thought of going to Singapore Science Centre came to my mind. Oliver and Heidi love Futuroscope, especially Oliver as he always like his dad to tell him more about the Universe.
And here we come, Science Centre. We only brought Oliver as Heidi had a school outing. We want to make this day a special one for him to make up for the big change in his life starting P1 and missing his good friends from Del-care. We feel great that Oliver enjoyed himself tremendously, and yes we will visit it again.

School holiday playtime at Pinnacle playground
Took these photos of my nieces when they came to my place during the March school holidays. Vera and Veron love the spinning wheels. The girls had a squabble over the riding of tricycle, albeit a short one. Glad that everyone had a fair chance to ride it before returning home.
Another antic of Heidi- when she saw her fav jiejie Vera wore a pink t-shirt, she quickly changed to a pink t-shirt once she reached home.

Oatmeal for lunch
This is the first time I cook Oatmeal for Oliver. I always remember my grandma tasked me to purchase oatmeal for her, but for whatever reasons, I cannot recall eating any oatmeal cooked by my grandma. Probably I didn't like it or that my grandma thought oatmeal was not the kind of food children would like.
I remember the first time I tasted oatmeal was during the polytechnic days when I was undergoing OBS 5 days training camp at Pulau Ubin. Perhaps I was famished from tortuous training, because it tasted really good.
It was not until one afternoon when a grandma at bus stop told me she prepared oatmeal for her grandson that I would never think of cooking it for Oliver. Another lunch idea, and also a healthy one.
Oliver just had his first scoop and he said it tasted good. : )
