Precious moment with great-grandma

Grandma was stricken with colon cancer and looked very weak. She told me that she could not see those photographs which I passed her. It worried me when she told me to get new clothes and shoes as birthday gift for Oliver. But Oliver's birthday would only come four months later. She is a strong woman and I really admire her strong courage and perseverance. Oliver, how I wish you can grow up faster and have more time with great grandma.

3rd Hep B Vax

We visited Outram Polyclinic today for Oliver's 3rd Hep B jab. Every time when we visited the clinic, it brought back memories of those days when Oliver had jaundice. We had appointment to see doctors there almost every other day. Poor Oliver had to have his blood drawn for testing. The nurse there were very skillful as compared to the doctor in KKH. I had seen the doctor in KKH drawing blood with droplets of blood all over Oliver's clothes. The waiting at times took hours and I had to let Oliver latch on in one of those appointment rooms. It was really quite a relief when Oliver's jaundice improved.

Major overhaul of hairdo by Boon Heng

The hair cut took about 3 weeks to complete.

Making Milestones

Just before crossing his mark of eight month old, Oliver achieved quite a bit of milestones this week. 1) He can move around quite well with his butt, except falling flat once on his face at home. So he ended up with a little red nose. 2)Found him not longer lying on his tummy. He was on all fours but still stucked in one position. 3) He ate one full cup of porridge without any difficulties. 4) He played tricks with Boon Heng when Boon Heng shooved his hand away from his mouth.

Oliver's Second Time Up and Down Bukit Timah Hill

Oliver is 7 months, 3 weeks and 2 days old.
Boon Heng decided to scarifice his Sunday football session today to spend more time with Oliver. And there we went, Bukit Timah Hill. We frequent our usual Bukit Timah Food Centre for Boon Heng's favourite peanut porridge and waited half an hour for the popular fried carrot cake. By the time we had our fried carrot cake, Oliver was moody and preparing himself for his slumberland. And we did the walk up the hill with Oliver sleeping on the stroller. At the summit,we intended to wake Oliver up. But he could sense our intention and woke up (quietly and no tear drops - seldom).

On the way down, I decided to be more adverturous by carrying Oliver on the carrier. Now, I think I have more backache than we have fun going down the hill.

Auntie Karen think you have her small mouth

No Karen, I think Oliver's mouth does not resemble yours. Yours are smaller.

It has been a while since I last met Karen. And she was getting married today. Oliver went with us to attend her wedding lunch at Hilton Hotel. The food was really nice and Oliver simpy loved their bread. Besides that, he seemed to love the bride too. He tried to charm Karen with his killer eyes. His spell did not worked on her but worked on most of the guests there. I was so grateful to have some moment of peace to savour the food while some of the guests came over to carry Oliver. Wouldn't it be nice if we can have more of such friendly and helpful guests.

Oliver and Cousin Veron

Veron came to Del-Care today. She has grown quite a bit and look strong and healthy. Must be Carol's milk doing lots of good for her. Even Oliver finds her deliciously tempting.

Cut his hair ! Cut his hair !

"Oliver's hair is too long, you have to cut his hair." "Cut it shorter, the weather is too hot." But don't you find Oliver really cute with his hair? It gives him a personality.

I love Oliver's smooth black hair and love touching it when he sleeps. It has a therapeutic effect on me. But no one else love it as much as Oliver's papa. Boon Heng has not cut his hair ever since the birth of Oliver. It is a hair bonding thing between them. Every time I trimmed Oliver's hair, Boon Heng would not want to be around. He just cannot bear the sight of I snipping away Oliver's hair. But come this weekend, it will be the third time we trim Oliver's hair. And Boon Heng is going to do it!

Oliver's First Tooth

It has been almost two months of making before the first sighting of Oliver's first front tooth. Oliver has been himself, yes the grouchy Oliver or worse during this period. It must have been a daunting experience for him. He would wake up at night and cried. And poor Oliver couldn’t drink as the erupting tooth was giving him so much pain whenever he tried to suckle from the bottle. But soon… it will be over. Baby Oliver, bear with it just for a while more…

the end of Oliver's Gastronomy experience?

Skin Rash and Diarrhoea ! Oliver has been having Heinz Rice Cereal at Del-Care for almost a week and so are his skin rash and diarrhoea too. He is only taking four teaspoons of rice cereal after drinking 100ml EBM. What more can he try if he has skin rash from eating rice cereal?
