Climbing stairs

Yesterday, as usual, I walked Oliver home.

At a flight of stairs just before Arris, I let him climbed on his own without holding him, only placing my hands behind him lest he falls backwards.

Oliver actually started to climb up the stairs on his own, neither holding my hand nor the railings.

Woah! He was pretty steady and I thought he was going to make it. If not for a dead moth, wings still fluttering from the wind, that made Oliver stopped dead in his tracks mid flight. He just refused to budge upon seeing the lifeless insect. Oh well...

This morning though, he repeated his feat again and climb up the stairs to Fuji-Xerox building all by himself.

Cars

Oliver looks like Chucky in this one.
Nowadays I walk Oliver back from school every evening. It is quite obvious that he likes cars, trucks, buses etc... anything on wheels.

But I've noticed that of all the cars parked at our carpark, he will particularly touch the wheels of 3 of them, and not the rest.

The 3 models are: a white BMW X5, a brand new red Maserati, and a blue retro Merc.

I think he has an expensive taste of good cars.

Potential Chef Jamie Oliver

Not quite... judging from his limited gastronomy experience due to his fussiness and pickyness on food, I will be surprised if he would become a Chef. The chef hat was part of Oliver's school activities at Del-Care. I love the hat more than him. He refused to have it put on his big head and Boon Heng had to hold it on his head to have this photo taken. Mmm, Oliver hardly has liking for many things except all things which come with wheels for now.

Evening Stroll at Singapore River

Jess, Andy & Malaya

They were here over the weekend en route for a new teaching stint in Bangkok.

Malaya is pronouced as Ma-la-ya and not Malay-ya as what most Singaporeans or Malaysians would naturally say. Malaya means "freedom" in Tagalog, according to Jess... I think.

We might just visit them anytime soon... mebbe in 2012.
