Moving on to the next level - Octopus

Despite the confusion at the initial stage when Oliver first joined the swimming classes at YMCA in January 2014, Oliver had almost gone through all the swim classes at different levels - from crawling in the baby pool to lap swimming (which was too advance), we are quite happy that he enjoys most of these classes. Yesterday Oliver moved on to the next level that is the Octopus class. The class size was surprising small with only two kids learning, which also meant more attention and time from his coach. $210 for 8 lessons of 45 min per lesson certainly work out to be more affordable than $150 for 4 lessons of 30 min by private coach.

Awesome cooking by an Italian man at heart

Pretty amazing that Boon Heng has developed a fetish to cooking Italian dishes. And they not only turned out to be edible, but also delicious!  It certainly breaks our routine of me cooking the usual dishes every week. I can't wait for more surprises...

Total Defence Day

Eating sweet potato porridge on Total Defence Day during recess. Simple food for my simple boy.

I got a little kitchen helper

Oliver offered to help me prepared dinner. Today, he did a great job cleaning the vegetable. He also offered to cut the mushroom, but I am not too confident on how to guide him. So we sliced a few mushroom together. Think I need to read up more on how to involve children in kitchen.

Great job Oliver!
