Follow Me Hokkaido - Day Four (Part 1)

NonkyLand (Shibazakura Park) is another moss pink park which is larger (80,000 m2) than the one we went earlier. I prefer the latter as this park is more commercialised. You can find shops selling Japanese products and hot spring facility, fishing pond, stage, couse for go-kart, budgy which brought the visitors around the park, even helicopter to see the aerial view of the park.

Oliver was quick to try out the go-kart at the park.

At Bihoro Pass, we stopped at another roadside station with fantastic view of Lake Kussharo.

This roadside station is also popular for its delectable fried potato balls - ageimo.

Oliver loved the potato ball which made me happy, but we realised he only ate the crust and left us to finish the potato.

Boon Heng took this picture at Lake Kussharo while Heidi was sleeping in the car, with me by her side.

The swan was iconic with Lake Kussharo. Oliver soaked his smelly feet at the sand-bath here.
We retraced our footsteps six year ago when we visited Lake Kussharo, and found the Ryokan which we had stayed. It looked more run down than we could remember. Took a picture of the place which bring back many fond memories.

Moving on, we headed towards the volcano.

Strong sulphur which had Oliver covering his nose.
